Advertisements are all over the place from television to the drive through the countryside. Advertisement has become an increase to society from day time till you go to sleep. In article "Hype" by Kalle Lasn, describe how the author gets tired of seeing advertisements. I disagree with the author; I believe that advisements can be prevalent and influence to the American society.
An advertisement is a public promotion of some product or service that persuades the public to buy or know some information. There is estimation about "12 billion display ads, 3 million radio commercials, and more than 200,000 TV commercials advertising". It grabs your attention approximately three thousand message per day. You can find an advertisement by using the internet, watching television and even the outdoors. In the article, Lasn mention there is an increase in commercial advertising has happened so steadily and relentlessly that we, society, don't pay any mind to its effects. Anywhere in America you would see or find an advertisement.
Advertisement can be poisonous and beneficial. Society can be influence from an advertisement to buy the product which it can be useful for them or have it in style. Seeing advertisement makes the person replace or "upgrade" their own item to something that they seem it way better. For example, I have an earphone but once I saw an advertisement of Dr. Dre headphones influenced me to buy those headphones. The reason that went on my mind was it’s in style and makes the songs (music) more realistic. When a person sees or listen to an advertisement that is catchy, it would make a person want the item. Kalle Lasn said “I often used to hear Beethoven's Ninth Symphony play in my head. Now I hear that kid singing the Oscar Meyer Wiener song.
